Thunderbird has possibly the worse default keyboard shortcuts one could come up with: a lot of destructive actions are single letters right in the middle of the keyboard.
Once in a while, I accidentally hit one of "a", "j", "k", "m", "r", "1", "2", "3" etc, and am obliged to track and revert the damage. Let alone the hypothetical times when I might not have noticed the damage, like accidentally archiving an unread message, or unfollowing an important thread.
Today I installed the tbkeys-lite addon, and got rid off all that nonsense.
https://addons.thunderbird.net/fr/thunderbird/addon/tbkeys-lite/Its settings (not by accident) come with a handy "Unset singles" button.
As a bonus, I bound the most useful "cmd_openConversation" to something less inconvenient than the default "ctrl+shift+o".
A good day ;D
