Brilliantly executed. I'm curious as to whether it makes any sense to someone unfamiliar with Brazilian politics.

Would being clueless about what QAnon is be good or bad in this situation?

I guess it would be neither good nor bad, but it will certainly be depressing to find out about it.

You are right. I wish I could un-see it now. :-)
Did it make sense to someone unfamiliar with Brazilian politics? Well, I assume you don't mean whether the QAnon theories make sense, but rather whether talking about how those in power try to use people's belief in those sorts of theories to stay in power. There were plenty of names and references I didn't know, but I got the general idea, helped by the parallels to names and references to things in the US. So, yes, I'd have to say it made sense. I still want to erase the last 30 minutes of my memory, though.

Probably the least believable part is that Trump is the "savior" working to bring it down, as opposed to a participate in whatever may be going on.

I don't really think any of these people care about the children, or the truth, or the consequences of their actions. I think they're just searching for a way to vent frustrations they themselves don't fully understand or acknowledge. The biggest of those frustrations being capitalism itself destroying the privileges they enjoyed, by concentrating even further those privileges, which threatens to destroy not only their security but their own personal identity. It gets worse when all one has learned to care for is me, myself and those like me. I don't think a hardcore Qanon has any empathy for raped children. They just want God's mighty revenge to rein upon anything that is not like them. And as in this narrative they need to see themselves as victimized, powerless fellows, they then look for a strongman to do it, and legitimate it, for them. Bonus points to the strongman because at this point he gains full financial support from the economic elites.
Once you're there, it's just too easy to distort some cherry-picked truth and build lies to fool yourself into believing the other is abhorrently immoral, and that the leader is a saint no matter what s/he did or does. If it's not the deep state it is going to be the socialists, the homosexuals, the blacks, the native people, the arabs, the jews, the chinese. If it's not Trump it's Bolsonaro, if it's not him it's Modi, or the current interim president of Bolivia. It doesn't really matter. It's a cult. One history has a name for.
