So, this year, I attended a panel featuring a famous privacy specialist along with another renowned security specialist, and I have some tips for you if you're also well-known in the field:
First: stop repeating that cryptography is hard, & you do 'complex math all day.' Crypto & math are not the products of a sole genius but result of years of collaboration. You haven't invented anything; you're dedicated, and we all appreciate that. But your audience is not dumb.
Secondly, for god's sake, please prepare your talk. Do not improvise. Privacy and security are complicated topics, and you need a well-thought-out plan for your presentation. Take the time to prepare your slides, focusing not only on aesthetics but also on clarity and sequence.
Lastly, (this one is important) south american women aren't hitting on you, my man. We have legit interest in this shit, and questions are to be answered - "not to be clarified over some dinner".
